The focus, as the restaurant name suggests, is pizza. A small but tasty selection of said staple is listed on the menu and your order will be prepared cheerfully at the open kitchen before being cooked in the wood-fire pizza oven. Meanwhile, you can enjoy free WiFi or gaze out at the murky lake. Try the bresaola pizza, which is camouflaged in a thick heap of fresh rocket and atop fresh, rich tomato paste, tangy cherry tomatoes added and abundant parmesan and bresaola. Other options such as lasagne are competently prepared but don’t quite cut the same crust as the pizzas. Finish your cheap and cheerful meal with a pint at McGettigan’s next door.
