Decent Mediterranean fare in secluded, welcoming surroundings 11 Reviews

Much of this Mediterranean restaurant’s appeal is a result of its aura of seclusion, with cosy interiors and a relatively hidden location on the Palm. On the menu, expect to find almost authentic Spanish tapas alongside tapas-style portions of other favourites from around southern Europe – though the albondigas (meatballs) are a clear winner – as well as artisan pizzas, paellas and grilled mains. Even when only half full, Barça Club still manages to create a buzzing atmosphere, aided by the fact it also welcomes guests just for drinks – the downside is that with smoking allowed at the bar, the smell can sometimes infiltrate the restaurant, but overall it’s a great place to feel at ease on a date or simply enjoy a well-prepared meal.

Maybe 10% more expensive than it shoud be, but beautiful view and fresh breeze are worth of it. Also, completely different restaurents inside and outside, different experiances and impressions. We'll be back choosing one afternoon, outside. Don't rely on food, be prepared to enjoy in ambience and view.

I've been there with my girlfriend this week and must say we were pretty pleased.

It was quite hard to find as it is not the most populated area on the palm, and our taxi driver was litterally lost, and we had our hotel ring the place to reserve a table outside and give us the exact address.

The terrace outside is really nice, along the pool, with a choice of sofas if you just want a drink. The cocktails were about 40AED, which is okay and the food was reasonably priced and really good: it was kind of "fine cuisine" as the tastes were really good and it was very reasonably served (not too much not too little).

We paid about 300Dhs for 2, for the whole thing, including appetizer, main plate, desert, bottled water and cocktails. So we spent a really good evening and the service was nice, caring about us and always asking if everything was fine, without being too invasive.

The restaurant was very busy, it was a Thursday night and service was good.

For starters we ordered the Mediterranean platter to share, this was very nice and we were looking forward to our mains even more.

We ordered the steak, it was relatively small and not worth the 110dhs - especially as we requested it without the mashed potato. We had asked for grilled vegetables instead and were charged the extra for the veg which we thought was a little cheeky.

Also ordered the fish and chips, it was a big bit of fish but didn't like the batter taste so just ate the fish inside.

Drinks were a little expensive and not that strong.

Loved the ambiance and decor of the restaurant though and will visit again at some point but will chose different mains next time.

The menu is not expansive but there are some absolute diamonds hidden within. The mushroom risotto is the best I've ever had rich and creamy due with marscapone and parmesan used to great effect. The steak is tender, juicy and the chef is willing to customize the trimmings on request (I had a side of sauteed mushroom/onions/garlic with mine). The staff are friendly and the chef took the time to answer my queries about some of the dishes. The only downside is the price of the wine, which is high even for Dubai.

As always here, trying to look expensive, charge expensive but it's cheap in all other ways.

Service has improved since I first went, as have the prices and offering. A great place to sit and have lunch now that the weather is good, with a much bigger selection of snacky and light dishes.

Staff need to be trained. When asked for a bar snack, we had a drink at the empty bar before sitting down, we were offered the starters menu. English language skills were poor. Drinks small measures and expensive. Food was excelent.

Service is bored as there aren't yet many customers, thus they rush you through the courses too fast. Once it gets busier, i'm sure they'll improve on this.
