This quiet restaurant in Old Dubai has some tasty, authentic Japanese offerings on their menu, but it’s knowing what to order that’s the tricky part. A few wrong choices here could turn the dining experience into a chore rather than a pleasure. The soft-shell crab in particular is as good as it gets and as delicate as it is crunchy. Steer towards the sashimi if you like your fish raw (it should be noted that the cooked fish dishes can seem a little tired and in need of some perking up), and we recommend you perch at the sushi bar or at the teppanyaki table, since the rest of the restaurant can lack in atmosphere.

Walking to restaurant through hotel is enough to cut your appetite.old, stale and cheesy with an experience reminiscent of being in an airport. Once in restaurant the decor is acceptable attracting a descent level of client. The food though is really mediocre set up by a complimentary amuse Bouche that was inedible. The service friendly but clumsy. The only recommendation would be the boiled rice :( really not happy especially when paying almost 400 Dhs for 2 !!! Save your money and go to Zuma.

I visitied with my family and felt like that there was some serious changes.
Little experienced staffs just gave me set menu and I had to ask for full menu as well as beverages menu.
Food itself has been degraded - chef must be changed recently.
No one cares when I get out after meal. What a nice service mind.

Anyway, this place changed from the one I liked and I don't want to have any sake here anymore.

we had the teppanyaki-table (just reserve per phone, about 10 person per table), was a nice show - tasted delicious. they explained everything to us, attentive waiters, the sake-cocktails were powerful.

nice japanese-overall-show-experience.

Minato may be a bit aged but it is well maintanied and there is a nice atmosphere.

I have dined there quite frequently and so far always been happy with food and service - certainly a place where you will not be disappointed.
