Calicut Paragon
Kerelite gem in the heart of Karama 65 Reviews
Be prepared to get really stuck in this budget gem in Karama. Diners prefer to use their hands (there is cutlery, though) to tear pieces of steaming parathas and dip them into a variety of curries and broths, chewing furiously in satisfaction. Trust us, you will too. The menu, which delves into the best of south India, can be daunting for newbies but ask for recommendations and you’ll be golden.
There’s the option of ordering ‘half portions’ so be adventurous and try something new. Most dishes tend to make the most of coconut and flavourful spices and standouts include the sweet and spicy prawn mango curry and tangy chicken varatiya. Paragon offers something entirely different from the cookie-cutter north Indian and British Indian restaurants New Dubaians are used to... and we like it.
