When a restaurant is located just off Rigga Road – a foodie haven to hungry diners with its many culinary options – you’d expect it to work quite hard at standing out. However, Daskhin at the Lotus Hotel, only comes across as a little confused about itself, right from the dated décor to the mismatched silverware. Service is disappointingly dopey and the live music, though melodious, borders on uncomfortably loud. The food is mostly average with very rare exceptions (like the seasoning on salads and kesar kulfi for dessert) and while curries and kebabs are by no means bad, it’s just there are better options elsewhere.
