More Café

A Dubai institution, the city’s residents know exactly what to expect from any More outlet: large, wholesome portions and a lively atmosphere. The menu – the same across all eight outlets, and printed on recycled newspapers – is vast, ranging from all-day breakfasts to sashimi salads, UAE-flag-themed pasta, bargain pie combos, curries and noodle dishes, lamb, seafood, incredible three-tiered burgers, to ‘the world’s first tea espresso’, refreshing smoothies and a range of cakes. After all, a cafe with a name like More couldn’t really get away with offering an underwhelming number of options. Service is relatively efficient and friendly, though coping with the crowds can be a challenge for staff – and clearly that’s the best problem to have.

Highly overrated. The eggs Benedict was cold. Bland flavor. The salmon was not fresh. The khamer pancake is a joke. The sausages were as if they came directly from the can into the hot oil into the plate. The scrambled eggs were mushy and soggy. Nothing was fresh. The smell and the flavor of processed food was obvious. You can find a better place to have breakfast and still pay less.

I was a very loyal customer of More, but lately they have pulled the prices way too high..Another disappointment is from manager to waiters they all need better training since they can be rude very easily. (Dubai mall)

Ive been to More a few times now and i like its style the decor and theme is relaxed and easy going and has a very definite identity the menue is diverse with meals from all around the world, and this is where for me the problem starts. My wife and I went there this friday to give it another try and again left hungry and disappointed i ordered the chicken tajine and my wife had the italian meatballs.So first the Tajine served in an rustic tajine pot that i dont even think had ever seen the inside of a oven as it was stone cold, the sauce was insipid watery and bland, 3 pcs of potato a quater of a chicken and that was it no olives onion nothing served with plain white rice i was not happy at all thank god for salt and pepper. Meatballs honestly tasted like it was from a tin soggy microwaved processed and horrid. 168 dhs wasted.

I love More Cafe and all the dishes/desserts/drinks are special and creative but I had a very bad experience the last time I went. I was hungry and ordered some pasta with pumpkin in it. I did not know what it is but thought it would be nice to try and the waiter supported my choice. When I tasted the plate I could not eat it and was not happy about it. I told the waiter to take the full plate. I then ordered the amazing chocolate cake with coffee. The least thing a reputable restaurant/cafe will do in this case is offer the dessert as complimentary. In the end, I paid a lot for a plate I could not eat, then I had to pay more for coffee and sweets to wash down the taste. The waiter did not seem one bit concerned if I enjoyed my meal or not. I suggest More Cafe works on its staff as much as it works on its food.

This branch of More has a great view of the fountains. I recommend the More burger.

Just visited the More Cafe at Dubai Mall (Saturday 27/11). Waited for 30minutes to get a menu, before giving up and leaving to go somewhere else (luckily internet was working so kept me busy). All I can say is that service is horrendous, and this is not my first bad experience. A big shame as some of the dishes are quite good, and the actual layout of the place is very pleasant. However the shoddy service, with insufficient and untrained staff is a big negative.

Having slated a number of popular eateries it was inevitable that one would satisfy me sooner or later. One did!
More in the Dubai Mall turned out to be a delight. The food was excellent: my son's burger was moist and big and important of all...he enjoyed it. Even grumpy me enjoyed the soup and salad.
The drinks were fab.
Drawbacks...(as if anyone would take note)...I would somewhat put off by the number of smokers I witnessed outside the mall entrance. Does this mean that More employs more than their fair share of smokers or are they so (over)worked that a substantial number needed a drag? Personally, I don't like to see or acknowledge that people who work with food smoke...it leaves a bit of an after taste. Wish they would reduce it.
Overall however, I would return to More!
