The Dubai Mall branch is now the bigger of the two in the city, with the space divided into a moderately busy supermarket and an often absolutely packed eatery. Décor is laidback and quirky, featuring indoor trees, low, slouchy chairs and lights made out of bottles. Ideal for a weekend afternoon, OFC offers a bargain buffet at Dhs95 (or priced by weight if you wish), including delicious salads and vegetable curries, as well as – randomly – luxury Guerlain chocolates. A feast of fruity cocktails is available to wash it all down. Everything tastes homemade, at times in a slightly bland way, which is only to be expected with food this righteous.
