Karachi Dabar in Al Qusais is a favourite among the city’s Pakistani taxi drivers and is staffed by friendly waiters wearing striking yellow uniforms. Guests are presented raita flavoured with coriander and cumin as a cooling precursor to dishes such as spicy Peshwari chicken, ginger chicken, and mountainous biryanis. The food is no-nonsense (much like the restaurant’s decor) and as authentic as you’ll get – arguably Karachi Dabar offers as much of cultural experience as a dining one.
