The name of this new Indian restaurant is, we’re told, an acronym for ‘Modern Authentic Hindustani Evolved Cuisine’. Sadly, the restaurant doesn’t quite live up to this mantra since its dishes are, on the whole fairly standard (and pricey to boot). What’s more, the atmosphere is seriously lacking as Mahec struggles to lure customers. This said, the menu is constantly changing and we’ve heard price have been dropped since Time Out’s last visit, so Mahec may hold a few surprises. It certainly needs to if it’s going to survive.

Superb restaurant. I celebrated a birthday party with a large group and from the minute we entered the service, ambiance was picture perfect.. As soon as we sat the drinks order taken, food started arriving within 10 minutes and throughout the entire meal. Our drinks were being filled and as soon as a person plate is becoming empty, the staff served food.. TOO TOO Good..
Thank you Mahec for amazing evening - I shall be definately coming back to try out more dishes within your a la carte very soon.

I had a lovely evening in Mahec and thanks to Taste of Dubai where I and my family tried Mahec.

We had awesome time and these guys should do some more promotions to promote Mahec so people in New Dubai can know about the restaurant ....Best Indian food, great Service..

And i don’t believe in what MAGAZINES says I believe in trying restaurants myself.

We visited Mahec for Valentines Day last week. It was an excellent experience overall. The food, the ambience and the entire evening in general were great. I found the food to be genuine yet with the flair of fusion. Presentation of the food had panache, albeit the portions were just enough for two.Despite being a very busy were reasonably looked after. My only comments are that the wine list needs to be updated as our first choice was unavailable. Also for a busy occassion like Valentines day you need to have more than 3 waiters working the floor. But like I said; will definitely go back!

I have enjoyed every meal I have eaten here and they have been numerous. By far the best Indian food I have eaten anywhere. I highly recommend the Malwani Prawns and Ginger Tandoori Lamb chops, they are divine. The dessert menu for me is one of the best things as it fairly unique, It has a whole host of new and exciting desserts that I haven't seen elsewhere. The staff are attentive but not invasive and remember you when you come back. I enjoy this place so much I have booked it for my Birthday celebrations.

I visited Mahec in October 11, purely by chance on an overnight stop. The food is absolutely first class - almost as good as the Rasoi in London - not surprising as the chef Bharath worked at Indego in dubai - both run by Vineet Bathia. The style is less western and none the worse for that. Very attentive service without being too formal and with its own style. If you appreciate top quality Indian food at great prices, this is the place.

Some one has to actually try and find this restaurant in the village it is just so nice to have a great outdoor sitting with a pond (fish's and trutle included) the kids were just over the moon. the food is great... including the service team who have forgotten to say no to the demands of the kids and mrs. Great team and good food. will surely br back.

Decor outdated... Food average at best; had chicken tikka masala and lamb biryani... Chicken was very dry, one of the worst I ever had.... Biryani was better, still not great... Over-priced big time... VERY friendly staff.
