Karam Beirut
Good looking Lebanese restaurant in the M.O.T.E. 9 Reviews
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008
This is a good looking restaurant, with its stone wall carvings and beautifully laid tables. Unfortunately the service is a little erratic; we’ve known starters to arrive with main courses, and some dishes never turn up at all.
Thankfully, the tabbouleh is fresh and citrussy, and the kibbeh are perfectly crisp, packed with rich, fragrant mince. The shrimps are juicy and complemented by a creamy cocktail sauce. If you’re still hungry, order the ashta, a thick dollop of gooey clotted cream and sweet honey, or the halawet el jiben – semolina parcels with cream.
This Lebanese restaurant – a chain in its home country – is a good bet, and unlike some mall eateries has an alcohol licence. They just need to work on the service.
