Scarlett’s

Well, fiddle-dee-dee. Scarlett’s may be themed around the overly precious Gone With The Wind character of the same name, but with its snow white ostrich leather seats and gloriously smoke-free policy, we’re not sure Rhett Butler would’ve chosen it as his local.
That said, if you’re into your burgers and Tex-Mex-style nosh, but prefer a polished silver spoon rather than the greasy variety, this is the place for you.
To start, the loaded potato skins, stacked with cheese and bacon, crunchily live up to their name – the serving is large enough for two. For mains, the grilled salmon is a succulent healthy option, as is the seafood salad with its luscious greens and multitude of prawns and squid. If you’re feeling a little bit naughty, the fajitas are a sure-fire hit.
Your choice of beef, chicken or prawns comes sizzling on a hotplate with sliced peppers and onions, a stack of floury tortillas and a triptych of guacamole, sour cream and salsa – and you get to roll everything together to your liking. If you’ve room for dessert, knockback a slice of banana cheesecake or a triangle of pear tart for a sweet finish.
The service can be a little snooty at times – perhaps it’s because Scarlett’s is located in one of Dubai’s poshest malls. But if you’ve got a hankering for some tasty Tex-Mex treats and don’t mind paying a bit extra, Scarlett’s is the place to go to slum it in style.
