Basic bar food Bur Dubai 4 Reviews
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008
Many Dubaians will only ever see this Dubai institution at some point in the wee small hours. Somewhat surprisingly, the sticky-floored nightclub has long done a bustling early evening trade for Bur Dubai residents who stop by for a steak dinner.
True, there are better – though generally more expensive – venues in town if it’s meat you’re after, but these aren’t actually too bad. Neither are the fajitas which arrive at the table steaming hot and plentiful. Indian food fans should also try the house curry, because the chefs here have a good idea as to what should go into a decent prawn masala.
Chances are you’ll probably miss this early evening action and skip straight to the part of the evening when the tables are cleared away, the drinks are flowing and Dubai’s lowbrow, goodtime crowd are packing the place to the rafters.
If that happens, fear not, as there is an in-house shawarma joint to satisfy your hunger. And if you do find yourself in here at 9pm, you can get a half decent meal for a fair price.
