From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

It might be an unassuming little restaurant next to the Capitol Hotel, but Mannaland is where you can find a genuine superfood. Many Koreans eat it up to three times a day, which – since it comes in over 200 varieties – isn’t necessarily as tedious as it might sound. But although it can be made with apples, radish, aubergine, pumpkin and cucumber, its main ingredient is pickled cabbage.

Yes, it’s kimchi, and it’s one of the healthiest foods you can eat, so the eight or so types of kimchi that land on your table within seconds of you sitting down at Mannaland will do you no end of good. Give the kimchi and pork soup a whirl – it’s full of spiced vegetables and tender meat.

The food didnt have the korean authenticity and bit expensive. One time visit is enough.

My daughter being an ardent Korean fan, wanted to try Korean food and hence we landed there as first timers...
the place was neat and had the usual crowd of koreans dining.
i was happy to see that all the dishes had explanations of the food which made i easier to choose a dish too.
the staff was friendly and we were served very promplty.
the food was spicy with lot of red and green chillies and especially I liked the Kimchee soup.
the chicken stir fry was also very nice.
we surely liked the cuisine and will be going there often.

I can't undrestand there are only good reviews.
I expected so much because of the reviews aboves
but i was very very disappointed about this restaurant.
I'm korean so i know very well korean food.
I can't recommed this restaurant for my friends
because the food were not acceptables.
Especially, kimchi was the worst, i never saw the kimchi like that.
I think the chef isn't korean, she is chinese(maybe origin korean).
We have more than 10 korean restarants in Dubai,
I went half of that, mannaland was the worst restaurant.

Food is gorgeous. Try the Bulgogi (marinated bees with vegetables), the glas noodles with vegetables and the bbq!
Many korean diners speak for authentic korean food.
Prices are more than moderate. We paid 100 DHS/AED that is 20€ for two including drinks!
Higly recommend it!

A friend brought me here, and i loved the food instantly! I love Korean, and what's best was that it tastes similar to what i had back in Asia.

I wasn't there for the deco, but just the food, i wasn't disappointed!

Though, i did smell like a BBQ stove the moment i exited the restaurant.

Easy to find and to park. The food was very good and the service prompt and polite.
Unlike other Korean restaurants we tried in Dubai, you are not seated in enclosed rooms so you can actually feel you are eating in a restaurant!
The bill came to 185dhs for 2 adults and a child. You get the usual freebies like kimchi, fried tofu and a variety of vegges which can work as starters. We ordered parjun (pancake made of spring onions and seafood), a beef BBQ, a kimchi hot soup and a bibimbap (mixed bowl of rice, meat, egg and veg). None of it was spicy.
Although I have not found yet a Korean restaurant as good as my local in the UK, I would recommend this one.

The place was not decorated much but the tables were set the way it should be for koreans. The foods were awesome. They have prepared the food well. The kimchi which is the highlight was really great.... It taste exactly like the homemade ones that you will taste in a traditional korean family.

The crews and cooks which were there are all friendly. I would definetely go back and eventually become a fan of that place. Compare to the other restaurant base on the same location, it was far too good.

First the place looks a bit strange due to the lack of decoration, but once you are seated you completely forget about it. Very good service, great food, healthy, friendly, full of good surprises. I went there with a friend and we ate a lot, We liked everything a lot too! Even the bill at the end which hardly reached 120 per person, all inclusive!
Highly recommended
