From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2007

The doors open early at this eatery, located in the golf course’s stunning clubhouse. By day you can sit in one of the comfy lounge chairs or at the bar, watching golfers roll in after their game while simultaneously casting an eye over the boats on the waters of the Creek and the tall buildings beyond. Visit in the evening, after the games are over, and it’s a quiet, relaxed affair. Luckily you don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy Lake View’s list of snacks and bar food – a good job too, as you would miss out on some delightful, well presented cuisine.

The chilli calamari is a good choice for a light meal or starter, deep-fried in a thick tasty batter, decorated with salad and noodles, and accompanied by a small serving of sweet chilli sauce. The Creek burger is a solid option for those with a heartier appetite. Cooked any way you like, this thick, juicy and tender slab of meat arrives with your choice of cheese or bacon topping on a toasted bun with crisp fresh salad and fries. If being in the company of sportsmen makes you yearn for something healthier, the tuna salad also impresses, with pieces of fish browned to perfection and large helpings of fresh, dressed greenery.

Chocoholics should pay a visit to Lake View simply to try the double chocolate mousse. Light and creamy, it must be a contender for one of the best chocolate desserts in Dubai. Recommended.

We visited there on a Friday Lunch in winter and sat in the terrace. The view is really great facing Dubai creek from one side and the golf field. The service was a little poor as the number of people working were few for the number of customers and you had to ask for something few times waiting too long and no one came to take our payment so had to deliver myself to the cashier. We all ordered sandwiches and burgers as most of teh rest of the main dishes had pork and we dont eat that.. the food was good and the value for money was good (around 75 for a burger). The view from the terrace was too good to stop you from going there again and very much family friendly for families with young children.

We have been there this valentine for the buffet..the theme was asian.however we were so disappointed with the spread. The theme should have been named japanese than asian.Am not sure if anybody else who have been there would agree to this. But really disappointing for us.There was hardly anything and not worth the money.
On the other hand the ambience was good and to catch up on a movie under the open sky with my loved one was a really good experience.
Next time if we ever go maybe we would opt for the ala carte menu than the buffet.
