The Dubliner's

Irish pub with huge portions of food Discuss this article

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

Football is the stock in trade at this boozer, and with pencil sketches of ex-Celtic boss Martin O’Neill adorning the walls and the same team’s former captain, Billy McNeil, lending his name to a rather leathery beef and Guinness pie, it’s probably not the best place to come if your loyalties lie with Rangers, Celtic’s bitter Glasgow rivals.

Other than that, it’s a perfectly acceptable place for a drink – the warm and friendly welcome making for a hugely convivial atmosphere. Diners would be advised not to set their expectations too high, however.

The snack items are the best bet here – a platter of spring rolls, battered prawns, samosas and chicken wings providing good value finger food.

Don’t bother with desserts, though.
