The Pub

British bar food Deira Discuss this article

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

Think of a pub. Any old (slightly musty) generic pub. If you’re British, there is now no need to read the rest of this review: you’ve just envisioned SAS Dubai Deira Creek’s The Pub, complete with empty crisp packets discarded on tables and tied in a little bow.

There’s a bulldog and Union Jack on the menu, sterile wood panelled walls, and a garishly patterned carpet – the kind of pub that makes you think it’s raining outside and you’ve forgotten your umbrella. Dining options are fairly straightforward and are unlikely to make much of an impression, but order uncomplicated dishes and you’re going to be satisfied.

Or just head to Yum! on your way up for some snappy and sumptuous Thai food. However, The Pub is partially saved by its daily happy hour from 7pm to 9pm and, more importantly, its mighty foosball table (just remember, no spinning). Even after playing on it for two happy hours.
