From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
There aren’t many places in Dubai where you and four others can feast outside on a whole roasted goat and look up at the mighty Burj Dubai. Goat is a bit of a speciality when it comes to Argentinian cuisine, but Asado’s speciality is also grilling, with a fine selection of steaks on offer.
In fact, Asado has all the markings of a very fine steakhouse. The knowledgeable waiters let you see the cuts first, slabs of pampered wagyu are present and there’s an array of sauces to try with your meat.
Starters come highly recommended, such as the sweetcorn stew or smoked cold cuts, but it’s your steak that you’ll remember – accompanied by roasted veggies and thick-cut garlic fries, stacked Jenga-style. Chicken and fish are present as alternatives, but you may spend half the evening removing the bones from the fishy dishes.
It’s an ideal place for that all-important business meeting, even if you do decide to conduct it with a roasted goat leg in hand.
