From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009

Casa Café dishes out platefuls of atmosphere, which is enough to justify the below-average food. Dozens of patrons – mainly groups of Arab teens and some families – take in the convivial alfresco atmosphere, often over a game of cards, shisha pipe in one hand, glass of fruit juice in the other.

The food is just an afterthought. If you do insist on filling your belly, the food isn’t particularly inspiring – in fact, it’s just a step up from microwave meals. But if you order a selection of Arabic snacks (stay clear of anything other than Middle Eastern cuisine, in fact), they’re decent enough for the type of dazed-out eating that goes hand in hand with a good game of Hearts (or Trex if you’re a local).

It is unfortunate that the food at Casa Café isn’t better, mainly because it has so much else going for it: attentive service, nice atmosphere, shisha. At the same time, as is evident by the large crowd stashed onto couches and private platforms, Casa Café doesn’t need good food, or a good review, to draw people in. If you’ve already eaten, and fancy a lively atmosphere for a game of cards, then Casa Café is the place for you.

I have went to Casa many times and the Shisha there is just amazing, the food isn't that amazing though, however everyone i know apparently lives there lol

I like the food too, but it is not an arabic restaurant as it is written above , they have international cuisine..

I have visited this cafe twice since January this year. Food quality is good and portions are very large. The ambiance is beyond compare. Reminds me of numerous lawn cafes in India. Staff has always been very courteous. This is the place for family outing if you are on Jumeria side of Dubai.

I was there last week, such a wonderful place, new menu has been launched, Great atmosphere, i will come back again for sure. I paid 100 dhs for dinner, drink, and shisha:):)

youre' right...the food at casa was horrible... I had a piece of plastic in my cappucino cup too! Has anyone noticed the prices on their menu and on the bill are so different...hiked up 10-15%!! The supervisor claims the menu featured ramadan prices (i visited in dceember!!!) ...and new menus were about to come out soon....
