Chic and trendy, this café, lounging stylishly at the end of the Via Rodeo designer strip, fits well with its exclusive fashion designer namesake.
Posh but pricey, Emporio Armani Caffe does classic, quality Italian designs incredibly well. Right from the tapenade through to the deliciously sweet tomato bruschetta and past the perfectly proportioned pastas and crispy pizzas, the fare here is understated but upscale.
The desserts, too, appear on the surface to be pretty uninventive, but delve deeper – particularly recommended for the chocolate pudding – and you’ll see they’re made by quality craftsmen. Our only gripe is the slight dinginess of the venue, which, combined with the trendy chillout tunes, gives it the feel of a nightclub lounge rather than a mall-based caff.
This will no doubt appeal to the elite clientele, but is a little disconcerting to the rest of us struggling to read the menu or have a conversation. But don’t let a fear of fashion deter you. The staff here are warm and welcoming, no matter what the label on your shopping bag.
