You can dress it up with a live band, dance show or sea view from the 25th floor as much as you like, but there’s only one real reason people should come to La Parrilla – and that’s for the steaks.
So many different cuts, weights and origins are on offer, and the alluring smell from the grill is the first thing that hits you as you walk through the door. A weighty slab of Angus beef tenderloin cooked medium-rare to perfection is no problem for the chefs, with the blackened, smoked exterior slicing open with ease to reveal tender pink flesh within; these are truly experts of their craft. Service is also excellent – be sure to chat to Margarita, your warm and welcoming hostess.
The chilli shrimps and crab meat gratin come highly recommended as starters, and the dark chocolate praline cake or Spanish-style coconut crème brûlée round things off nicely. But be careful about eating too much – the tango dance troupe have a tendency to mingle with diners, and you will be asked to dance.
