From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009

With a fine view of the creek’s comings and goings, and the rhythmic thwacks of golf balls being lofted through the air from the course below, it’s hard to think of another bar in Dubai that’s quite as relaxing as this. Which is good news, because the staff are usually so busy that you’ll have to wait a little while for service.

Still, a little lateness from the waiting staff is hardly a major problem, especially as the bar’s food is consistently good quality – especially when you consider the low prices that you’ll be paying.

Particularly good are the plump steaks, which should give you a much-needed boost after a hard-fought round of golf. Perhaps that’s the only problem with Lakeview, really – as relaxing and enjoyable as the venue is, it’s also basically just a golf bar.

If you’re playing golf at the venue then you’ll already be planning to drop in, and if you’re not, there’s not a great deal of point going out of your way to eat there.

We visited there on a Friday Lunch in winter and sat in the terrace. The view is really great facing Dubai creek from one side and the golf field. The service was a little poor as the number of people working were few for the number of customers and you had to ask for something few times waiting too long and no one came to take our payment so had to deliver myself to the cashier. We all ordered sandwiches and burgers as most of teh rest of the main dishes had pork and we dont eat that.. the food was good and the value for money was good (around 75 for a burger). The view from the terrace was too good to stop you from going there again and very much family friendly for families with young children.

We have been there this valentine for the buffet..the theme was asian.however we were so disappointed with the spread. The theme should have been named japanese than asian.Am not sure if anybody else who have been there would agree to this. But really disappointing for us.There was hardly anything and not worth the money.
On the other hand the ambience was good and to catch up on a movie under the open sky with my loved one was a really good experience.
Next time if we ever go maybe we would opt for the ala carte menu than the buffet.
