In the evenings, a trip to Oscar’s Vine Society offers a warm and welcome respite in a city where restaurant service can seem somewhat cool.

Perhaps it’s the stylish, wine cellar decor (tables are decked out like barrels of port), though we think the warm service and quality food don’t hurt, either. At Oscar’s, the staff always greet you with a relaxed and sincere smile (no overselling here).

The drinks menu lists 40 wines by the glass and more than 100 by the bottle, and the bar serves up simple, though flavourful, French fare. Oscar’s has recently started serving up lunch as well, and while the venue isn’t quite as convivial at noon, the food is still strong and equally reasonable.

Our Oscar favourites include a warm goat’s cheese salad and veal blanquette, a hearty stew that delights in the winter when the weather cools considerably. On Tuesdays, they also have an all-you-can-eat cheese buffet for Dhs99. Perfect to complement your glass of red.

Fantastic wine bar. For one evening you feel like you are somewhere in Europe. Great place even for non wine experts. Great littel descriptions on what flavors you can taste :)

Oscar's should get a Resteraunt 'OSCAR.

I think it is one of the trendiest places I have been to here in Dubai. The people there are just great, I knew only little about wines befor I started going there but now....., well THEY made me an expert: Teaching me flavours , grapes , Vinyards and all that stuff. Now I show off when I am having a wine with friends, and it works.
Besides that you should try the chese ther -formidable-

Over it is just the greates bar in Dubai....!

Great spot for wine lovers after grinding through the joys and tribulations of a working day in Dubai.
Knowledgeable and very friendly staff, excellent tidbits of food.
if you want to drink quality wine that is worth what you are paying rather than having to settle for the house wine (at similar prices) this place is your best bet.

I think Oscars is definetely one of a kind in Dubai. It has very knowledgeable staff who is always ready to recommend the best wine matches depending on the "mood" you are in and what food you are having.
The clientele is very friendly and unpretentious, making this bar a very comfortable and relaxed place to go have a drink and unwind after a hard day at work!
