From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009

Tucked away in a corner of Wafi is this cosy, low-lit and rather charming little wine bar. A previous Time Out awards winner for a reason, Vintage has, as you might expect, an excellent – and not inexpensive – selection of wines available to buy, as well as a limited food menu, including cheeseboards and pies.

The food is excellent – though it ought to be for the money you’ll pay – and how comfortable you’ll feel eating pie in a swanky wine bar, we’re not sure.

The staff are usually friendly and welcoming, but rock up in jeans and a T-shirt and you may get the slight feeling that they want you out of there as soon as possible.

The teeny-tiny size of the bar also makes it a little uncomfortable for large parties, but for an intimate, romantic tête-à-tête it’s certainly a good choice.
