From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
The One Café may not be on your radar, seeing as it’s tucked away deep inside the eponymous furniture store, but it’s worth visiting, as it offers some reasonable fare. It’s also a less-crowded alternative to the ever-popular and adjacent Lime Tree Café.
It’s open for breakfast, and toasted banana bread with yoghurt and fresh compote makes a fresh start to any morning. Lunch and dinner offerings include your standard soups and salads, though they are more imaginatively done here (the raspberry and halloumi salad with sunflower seeds and quail eggs is a proven winner).
Pastries are better down the road, but, still, if you’ve got the exhausting task of furniture shopping ahead of you and need a sugar fix to give you the energy, you could do far worse than stop in The One Café.
