Bistro 21
French food and shisha at the 21st Century Tower Discuss this article
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
A sleek and seriously hip French eatery is bound to attract Dubai’s select crowd and that’s certainly the case at Bistro 21, where a cooler-than-thou gang of young twenty-somethings lounge around sipping cappuccinos.
Bright and spacious, the place has a laid-back atmosphere helped along by battered second-hand books, glossy mags and newspapers. Though it’s an ideal spot just for coffee (grab a seat outside to avoid a noisy coffee machine), the street-level bistro under the shadow of the 21st Century Tower serves up a fine selection of food options in hearty portions, like crab cakes and crunchy brushetta.
But the pièce de résistance has to be a slice of the tart and richly decadent dark chocolate cake.
