From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
Ashiana has won Time Out awards in the past, and it is still one of the best Indian restaurants in the city.
The staff are attentive, knowledgeable and have personality – something so often lost in the formality of hotel restaurants. Beautifully decorated, with every inch of wall and floor filled with an intricate flower arrangement, wood carving or ornament.
The food is superb: perfectly cooked, tender meat chunks, creamy yet spicy sauces, fragrant rice and buttery naans, you’ll find these dishes hard to beat. There are top-notch Indian eateries springing up all over Dubai, with others upping their game as they become more established, but with prices lower than many high-end eateries, Ashiana’s still got it.
