At Home
Mediterranean food at the Four Points by Sheraton Discuss this article
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
At Home, the Four Point Sheraton’s Mediterranean restaurant, has billed itself as a haven of comfort, a place where a group or a family can sit on plush cushioned seats and eat ol’-fashioned homespun food.
And perhaps this feeling of home will ring true for some – namely those whose parents couldn’t cook. But, the restaurant did at least manage to get the decor right. The flattering, candle-lit setting gets the love going.
Unfortunately, the love ends with the arrival of the first course, and by the end, any feelings of amiability will have been squashed by the over-salted, chewy and bland concoctions.
Plus, the service will do nothing to ignite any dwindling flames, as it’s lethargic to say the least, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. We would imagine that, considering the atmosphere is rather sweet, the best way to enjoy an evening at At Home would be over drinks.
Otherwise, if you’re craving a home-cooked meal, we recommend giving this restaurant a skip and showing your kitchen some love.
