Ate here first time few weeks back after a long drive from Jebel Hafeet...
Tasty Food that will satisfy you to the core...
Their Lahori Karahi chicken & Chicken handi coupled with piping hot parathas were the perfect ending to a Long Day out.
Next time will try the biryani definitely...

The restaurant was a big disappointment. I went there with my family on a friend's suggestion but didn't like the food at all. We ordered Chicken Biryani and Mutton Karahi. The biryani was not bad but can't be graded good either. For 26 dirhams a plate the quantity was nothing. Same was the case with the Mutton karahi, which shouldn't be called a karahi.

Running an Event Management Company and possessing a strong love for good food is not quite a good combination as you end up sampling a lot trying to find the best vendors for your company to use. Needless to say i manage the catering operations of a small exclusive event company here in Dubai, while my zealous wife manages the event operations and entertainment. Come afternoon and post 1 pm you could be sometimes ready to "eat a horse" like i was when i stumbled into Dum Pukht. I had herd a lot about this place and it was requested by a client of mine that he would like the Biryani from here for his event. I will be very direct in my review and i do this as a form of feedback and in no way to be taken as negative commentation. When i walked in i was 'dying of hunger' . Once seated the waiter took my order which was just a Chicken Biryani. Now waiting long for foor seems a whole lot longer when you are hungry therefore i decided to ammuse my self and snoop around a little. The flooring , decor and walls etc im sure at some point have looked better as they seemed to be suffering from a lack of maintenance, The toilet did not have a seperate one for ladies and gents, just 1 and not kept too well, egress as well to this area on a crowded day would be hell in the cell...
Finally as i was about to eat my plate the food arrived, i did think 20 mins was a tad long but my food was here, why complain. Digginh into what was in front of me, i found the serving quite large and appreciated the fact that it was served by a friendly waiter in a nice ethnic pot. The taste however was a bit letting down as i have herd so many good comments in the past about Dum Pukht, maybe it was the chef's night to howl the previous night. Quantity matched the price as it would deffinately cover 2 people. They might need to look at service delivering times however or people are going to be doing a lot of walking out,

In closing, i would go back there deffinately as the food was clean and tasty, may not have been to my exact taste but it was worth another visit.

Dum Pukht, try to make the small changes, and in future if you see a huge hungry man rushing through the door, please serve him his biryani as soon as possible,

an excellent resturent but they need to improve their service and delivery timing. Also they need to increase the seating place. Specially for the family.

nice friendly staff, delicious food especially the Dumpukht Biryani and the Pratha Roll. Defo need to pay a visit.

In March I went to Dubai & my neice took me to Dum Pukht in Karama, we ordered the Hydrabadi Biryani which we both enjoyed, they gave us a lot to eat however, when I ordered a plate of biryani to go the quantity was considerably less to what was served at the restaurant, needless to say we were disappointed, but I am going back to Dubai for Christmas & I have asked my neice to take me back there to eat.
