Inferno
European restaurant in Dubai's Marina Walk 1 Reviews
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
Any restaurant sat in Marina Walk is awarded with an ambience. The sociable, jovial atmosphere of alfresco diners is palpable alongside the bobbing boats and twinkling lights. Inferno’s terrace is tucked away from this, however, jutting out into the water.
But this is no bad thing; instead, you get one of the best views, and a more intimate vibe, making it good for a romantic evening. Though, even the cheesiest of couples would get sick of Savage Garden on repeat; sure to drive you ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’ crazy.
The staff are helpful and polite, if a little slow, but you do need time to peruse the extensive menu. Seafood, Arabic grills, tandoori dishes, Japanese fare and British staples make for a wide choice.
There’s also a selection of sandwiches and wraps if you stop by at lunchtime. A highlight is the fillet steak, seemingly melting as soon as it touches your tongue.
The tori katsu karee (crispy chicken with Japanese curry sauceis less of a success, with the soy-flavoured sauce too thick and strong. But the plain, creamy cheesecake helps smooth things over.
Not too expensive, Inferno makes for a great place to take a date who prefers (the excellent) fruit smoothies to champagne.
