From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
This popular restaurant sits on a corner on the traffic clogged Al Musalla Road, only a short stroll from the creek.
It can get very busy at night, when swarms of locals converge for dinner, but if you can’t grab a table outside, head to the upstairs seating area. With Indian sub continental grub on offer, the sizeable menu includes old favourites like a particularly tasty lentil dhal, peshwari chicken, numerous biriyanis and soft, pillow-like naan.
Time Out particularly likes the thick, cool mango lassi – served in funky paper cups with colourful pictures for only Dhs6. It’s cheap, filling and everything is served in a slap dash fashion by waiting staff, with the general idea being to eat and leave – unless you’re people watching.
