The mezzanine level of the Hyatt Regency is not the first place you would think to find an authentic Italian restaurant. But the food here (prepared by the loving hands of a Milanese chefis surprisingly good, and there’s an uninterrupted view over the creek and adjacent promenade to boot.
If you want to sit out on the terrace, it’s best to reserve ahead, and it is the best seat in the house, watching Dubaians enjoy a stroll along the waterfront. The interior of Foccacia is a touch too faux Italia, but it doesn’t detract from the deliciousness of well-made pasta dishes like gnocchi, veal tortellini and crispy ciabatta, served with roasted garlic.
