Reach Haru hungry (which you likely will, as it’s a bit of a schlep to the Green Community for mostand the food will meet you like a lifebuoy.
An order of chicken gyoza, though fried, comes out light and crisp. Shrimp tempura arrives in a delightfully brittle batter, and robatayaki (aka, fire-grilled) prawns absorb the wood’s thick, oaky flavour. As it hits your stomach, laze in the chairs watching the tranquil surroundings.
A peaceful, if fabricated, lake and cobblestone promenade give the area a relaxed, European feel. The waiters, each more cheerful than the last, ensure you rarely wait for a course.
A tray of tuna and salmon sashimi proves the restaurant’s high standard is not the work of your hunger-induced imagination. The fish is delicate enough to make teeth redundant. However, it isn’t all delicious delights.
The duck is a letdown, as is the lifeless fruit sushi for dessert. Before you let the location put you off, there is a Jumeirah Beach Residence outlet too.
