From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
Wedged inconspicuously next to the Capitol Hotel, Mannaland is one of the best spots to get your kimchi fix in the heart of Satwa. Kimchi is a traditional, fermented vegetable dish revered by Koreans for being a super food.
It’s said to aid cancer and slow down the ageing process. All kinds of vegetables can be used, but Koreans predominantly use spicy, pickled and fermented cabbage – a guaranteed heart starter for it’s hot, sharp flavour.
At Mannaland, kimchi reigns supreme in many dishes, but we suggest trying it as a side with a main meal like hot pork soup or noodles. You can just feel those toxins being purged.
