From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
With a leafy, sun-drenched outdoor seating area, weary shoppers have the perfect pit-stop at Ibn Battuta Mall. And they needn’t worry about denting their shopping budget because the South-East Asian food at Soy is reasonably priced, without compromising on flavour or authenticity.
In fact, most of the dishes ring true to their respective countries, so much so that even legendary traveller Ibn Battuta would approve. Think crispy Hong Kong chilli prawns, crab and sweetcorn soup, Beijing duck pancakes, Singapore noodles and devastatingly tender kung pao chicken.
And all meals begin with the ubiquitous Asian eatery obsession; prawn crackers and spicy chilli dip.
