The sister restaurant of the faultless Café Chic is sometimes unfairly dismissed as dull. Because it doesn’t have the same Michelin-backed chef flying in every few months, the assumption is that it is not in the same level. This is wrong. It doesn’t cater to vegetarians well. It doesn’t spice up dishes and infuse them with a dizzying array of influences. But, this is a beef bistro. If you’re searching for a selection of juicy steaks that ranks among the best in the city, you would do well to give it your attention.

The management’s dedication to finding only the must succulent cuts has taken on a global zeal. Meat is imported from Australia, New Zealand and America and only the finest steaks make your plate. They’re tender, juicy and lean. Some can even be cooked at your table, creating an eyebrow-singeing display of flames. Non-steak options are less impressive, but still no real cause for complaint. Side dishes are pleasingly small, although these tend to be less well prepared than the steaks, with the mash coming in rather runny and French fries on the salty side.
