From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
Thai Kitchen is one of Dubai’s most stylish Thai eateries. Set in the chic and luxurious creek-side Park Hyatt, its relatively out-of-the-way location may mean you have only a handful of fellow diners during the week. But, come Friday, the Dhs225 brunch deal pulls in the hungry hordes, especially those after something slightly more sedate than the raucous affairs at Yalumba or Double Decker.
But the single thing that really sets Thai Kitchen apart, rather suitably, is its sizzling open-plan kitchen – or, more specifically, the food that comes out of it. Served in petite bowls that work to emphasise their contents’ delicate flavours, the cuisine is consistently light and tasteful – and, contrary to Dubai trends, most likely to leave you wanting more, rather than suffering from a swollen stomach.
Service is caring and conscientious, with a personable manager manning the door who loves to hear how satisfied you are with the braised duck noodle soup, fish cakes or sticky rice with mango. Because, no doubt, you will be.
