From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
Located within new hotel, The Monarch, the occupant of perhaps Dubai’s most prestigious address – number one Sheikh Zayed Road – Time Out was expecting grand things from Mizaan. But would they simply rest on their geographic laurels, expecting their sought-after location to win custom?
Not in this food-fixated town. Serving an international al a carte menu and range of buffets, prices are high, yet all dishes are artfully presented and expertly delivered by attentive staff. We particularly loved the pumpkin soup and a main of moist chicken strips, surrounded by artichokes and onions.
The restaurant opens out into the sophisticated main lobby and while it suffers same difficulty as dozens of restaurants in Dubai in the same situation – its atmosphere gets sucked out into the reception area’s high ceilings – the food will make up for it.
