Delmon
Bargain Filipino food in the UAE Discuss this article
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
If you’re hankering for some bargain basement Filipino fare then Delmon is a good bet. Hand over a Dhs10 note and you’ll get back change from dishes like mami (a choice of meat, with noodles, cabbage and egg, shrimp lomi (extra-wide noodles and lettuce) or juicy beef steak.
There are also fresh juices to wash down the Pinoy food (try an avocado shake), while Western-style fare, like hamburgers and sandwiches, also make an appearance. But if you want to keep it traditional, try one of the Filipino desserts like kutsinta – a dentist’s nightmare, but a sweet tooth’s dream.
