From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
It is a confident chef who knows when to meddle with his ingredients and when to leave well alone, which is what makes dining at the Marina Seafood Restaurant such a pleasure.
It also goes a long way to make up for the dated decor of the restaurant itself. Tethered, rather like an earthbound UFO, by a concrete causeway to the rest of the Jumeirah Beach Resort complex, you’d expect that wouldn’t matter in the face of the scenic, seaside views. Unfortunately, reflective windows puts paid to that for evening diners, which, once again, makes a meal at Marina all about the food.
Luckily it more than measures up – seafood is fresh, cooking inventive and service immaculate. But a posh meal out (and at these prices, that’s what you’re expecting) is about the whole experience.
Sadly, Marina falls a little short.
