From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2009
Oh right, we get it. It’s called a bazaar because it works kind of like a market – fresh fruit de mer are laid out on ice for you to choose. It then goes from your basket (yes, reallyto the chefs to cook as you request.
This kitchiness is all part of Fish Bazaar’s charm, which is just as well as it extends into the rest of this Asian-themed restaurant – from the ornamental pond to the acres of faux bamboo. The good news is that it doesn’t extend to the food. If you ignore the complimentary prawn crackers (starchy) and fishcakes (flabby) – the full, fresh flavours of what’s cooked to order are a delight.
Steamed mussels with lemon and chilli are on the right side of sharp, while a whole mackerel cooked with soy and ginger is a delight. Recommended.
