Aroma Garden Caffe
A lovely garden cafe with a soothing atmosphere - even if the service is a little slow Discuss this article

Walking into The Aroma Garden Caffé out of the fierce Dubai summer weather is like entering another world. It is cool, quiet, aromatic, soothing and still unique in Dubai. We headed for the ‘garden’ section which has natural daylight and is not unlike sitting in a greenhouse, surrounded by encroaching plant life. The air in this section is also less pungent with the heavy aroma of incense, which we appreciated.
The service was slow and muddled. We placed our order and the food eventually arrived in relays. We enjoyed the freshly pressed fruit juice and fruit cocktail. The garden salad which we began with was a rustic ceramic bowl filled with lettuce, grated carrot and a token offering of cucumber and tomato. Our sandwiches arrived; lengths of French stick filled with cheddar cheese and Haloumi and cucumber, accompanied by fries and a few Lebanese pickles – hearty portions but disappointing flavours. We highly recommend the heavenly warm date cake. The cinnamon cake was very light, if a little dry. From a range of flavoured coffees we opted for the vanilla cappuccino; memories of the intense sweetness that we experienced on our last visit here flooded back to us.
We enjoyed our lunch and the peace of the garden. The service remains slow and we felt forgotten on several occasions. For a simple snack we can’t guarantee that it will be quick, but this deal is still good value for money.
