Friendly but tortuously slow service makes Chillis a place to enjoy a leisurely lunch rather than a quick bite between power-meetings.

The menu offers everything you would expect from a Tex-Mex joint: a good range of belt-busting steaks and burgers; sizzling fajitas; rather disappointing quesadillas and well stuffed tacos and tortillas.

Prices reflect the fact that Chillis sees itself as a cut above a fast food chain, and that is not unreasonable because the food is well prepared and filling.

Dining is a little cramped (getting in and out of the booth seats will challenge those that have over-eaten); and other tables are tightly packed.

But this should be expected in a restaurant that is busy all week round at lunch and dinner.
