Promising to bring a contemporary customer experience to one of Dubai’s most historical areas, City Centre Al Shindagha opened its doors at the end of January. Almost three months on, the 24,500 sq m space boasting 75 retail outlets built around a Carrefour supermarket is proving a big hit. Time Out finds five reasons why…
It’s convenient Whether it’s buying a new outfit, grabbing a bite to eat, entertaining the family, doing the weekly big shop or looking for a household item, City Centre Al Shindagha offers a selection of outlets and services that gives the community an easy way to do them all.
It’s easy to get to Located in the oldest area of Dubai, the mall is just a stone’s through from the Creek. Drive there via the Al Shindagha tunnel, jump on one of the regular buses or take the Metro to Al Ghubaiba Metro station. Or, if you really want to arrive in style, why not grab a seat on one of the water taxis.
It’s great for kids If you and the family want to escape the heat, take a trip to Magic Planet. For younger kids, there are trampolines, a merry-go-round and a large adventure playground, while there’s a whole range of arcade and online games for teens. Play means points, points mean prizes…
It’s full of food The mall’s Food Court serves dishes from across the globe, including Chinese, Lebanese and American. Whether you want a quick snack or a feast, City Centre Al Shindagha has you covered. With three ice-cream parlours, you’d better leave room for dessert.
It’s fab for fashion The retail mix here has been carefully compiled to include affordable fashion for everyone. Shops include Splash, Max Fashion, Peacocks and Giordano. If you’re after a special gift, Rivoli, Damas, Pure Gold and All About Watches are all here too.
