Spring means two things in Dubai: getting your twice-worn woolies drycleaned and revamping your living space. While we’ll let you find your nearest dry-cleaner in your own time, the new Cities Boutique in The Dubai Mall will take care of the latter.
Located next to the waterfall, this lifestyle store is the brand’s second in Dubai. Originally from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Cities houses eclectic pieces from key local designers. Similar to its The Galleria Mall outlet in Jumeirah, Lebanese interior design firm AskDeco designed this retail outlet.
“We feel that interior décor should not be limited to rules and trends, but should instead reflect one’s individuality and personal style; all those quirks and unusual traits that make each person unique should be highlighted and put on display,” says Cities owner Hazem Aljesr.
“We want people to feel the freedom and confidence to choose items that they like and arrange them in their space according to their own tastes and preferences, instead of feeling compelled to replicate typical styles that are often labelled as proper or correct.”
The curated range within the new space includes pieces from the likes of Tom Dixon, Nada Debs, Nayef Francis, Khaled El Mays and Richard Orlinski. In addition to lighting stands, woodwork, art pieces and sculptures, this boutique also stocks apparel and accessories from up-and-coming Italian brands.
