Describe your style in 5 words: Jarvis Cocker on a cruise. Where would you like to wake up tomorrow? A hacienda in Buenos Aires. The best decade in the history of style was: undoubtedly the 1950s. The film I should have starred in: I'd love to say the original Italian Job or the Ipcress File, but realistically Rushmore. The song that could have been written about me is: the overwhelming response from my friends seems to be "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon. While I'll deny it vigorously, I do enjoy walking into parties like I'm walking onto a yacht. When I tell my friends I’ve been selected as on of Time Out’s 20 most stylish readers they will: definitely laugh. Possibly deface the photo in an inappropriate manner. The acronym that describes me is: an acro-whatnow? The secret to style is: when you find out, be sure to let me know. A perfect day would be: waking up and surfing with friends followed by lunch and lazing on the beach. Then being magically teleported to London to watch Arsenal beat Barcelona in a nine-goal thriller and then back in time for dinner and dancing until the small hours. My profound thought for the day is: work hard and be nice to people. Massive meals or light bites? Both. I really, really like to eat. Rock star, film star or sports star? Rock star, or at the very least indie guitar hero. Sunrise or sunset? Sunrise on the way home after staying out way too late. Sunglasses and manakeesh optional. Burj Al Arab or Burj Khalifa? Burj Al Arab. I sometimes paddle board around it as the sun comes up before going to the office in the mornings. It's a good way to remind oneself that life could be a lot worse. Desert or beach? Beach. The guys at Surf Dubai have been teaching me how to surf, so I try and get down to Sunset Beach whenever there's waves. I'm very bad at it but completely hooked. Mall or market? Markets. I'd love to see more of them in Dubai as a way to support local designers, arts and food producers. A few hours of my life and a large chunk of my wallet mysteriously disappear whenever I walk into a mall, so I try to avoid them where possible. Hot or cold? Hot, hot, hot. Facebook or Twitter? Facebook. I don't have enough to say to the world to tweet. Although that doesn't seem to stop a lot of people. Trainers or shoes? Shoes. Every man should own a good pair of brogues. Mac or PC? Mac. These days I'm a bit of a magpie and just want something nice and shiny and easy to use. More: Dan Partovi's favourite stores.
