Make a tote bag
Al Quoz art space Traffic is holding workshops at its studio, which provides tools, training and space for members of the community. On Saturday June 30 the studio is holding a course on how to make a tote bag. Use of the studio is on a pay-as-you-wish donation basis.

Project: MEGA at The Dubai Mall
Foo Dog and Middle East Film and Comic Con are hosting the Middle East’s largest designer toy exhibition at The Dubai Mall from Thursday June 28. The high-design toys have been created by more than 125 local artists, and the grand opening features live sets by artists and musicians including DJ Bliss. Fans will be given the opportunity to buy the limited-edition collectables on display at a three-day auction at FN Designs in Alserkal Avenue from Thursday July 12. Grand opening 8pm-10pm, June 28. New York designer Donna Karan’s affordable ready-to-wear spring/summer line is now available at the new store in The Dubai Mall. La Perla at The Dubai Mall
This luxury lingerie brand has opened its largest store in the world on our doorstep. The new store at The Dubai Mall showcases the latest collections from the Italian brand and also houses a lingerie museum exhibiting vintage garments and one-off items.

TWG Tea Salon and Boutique at The Dubai Mall
The luxury tea brand has opened its fragrant doors to Dubai’s tea-lovers. The 148 sq m boutique features hand-crafted glass walls, bronze fittings, Italian marble floors and crystal lamps and stocks top-quality tea from around the world. The store also houses a 28-seater Tea Salon, where customers can sit and enjoy their favourite cuppa.

Cheer on your team in the Euro 2012 final at BurJuman
The Bur Dubai mall’s Pavilion Gardens has been transformed into a football-themed dining and entertainment area for this one-off event. More than 15 outlets will offer a variety of food, with the games shown on large HD screens.

Meet Ice Age characters at Ski Dubai
To coincide with the release of animated children’s comedy Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, Ski Dubai is hosting two characters from the franchise. Sid and Scrat are participating in a meet-and-greet and are on hand to appear in photos.

Dubai Ice Rink at The Dubai Mall is screening the key matches from the football championship on a huge 20m x 10m LED screen – there’s even beanbag seating on the rink.
