High profile designer visits and Miss Selfridge in Dubai
This week: a new Miss Selfridge, plus two high-profile interior designer visits.
Martin Waller, the British CEO and founder of upscale interior and home furnishings store Andrew Martin (04 323 1388) was in town last week to host a morning function at the DIFC Dubai branch. Interior design-savvy Waller founded the company in 1978 and during his visit talked about new collections plus future company plans.
And while we’re on the subject of respected interior designers, popular British BBC personality and interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen was also in the emirate last week. Llewelyn-Bowen stayed at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray (04 453 0000) and apparently gave the hotel’s decorating team his seal of approval.
Finally, British high-street main player Miss Selfridge opened its third outlet in the city at Dubai Marina Mall (04 436 1020) last week. The store opened on May 25 to press and VIPs with treats, complimentary eyelash applications (why not!) and gifts with every purchase. The affordable store is currently stocking summer-inspired fashion and accessories options for women. Until next week, stay stylish.
