Al Ghurair Centre
Dubai's oldest mall is still popular with inhabitants of Deira Discuss this article
Built in 1981, Al Ghurair City is Dubai’s oldest mall, but in spite of its age its popularity hasn’t waned. Some of the outlets you’ll find here are French Connection, Guess, Nine West, Virgin Cosmetics, Book Corner and, more recently, Mexx. The mall is a bit of a maze and spread over two floors, with corridors branching out at all angles, but it’s worth persevering: tucked in the alleyways are excellent speciality stores selling everything from Arabic jewellery and rugs to South African beauty products. There is also an eight-screen Cineplex and numerous food and coffee outlets.
Time Out Dubai,
