The year-old Dubai Festival City’s Waterfront Shopping Centre has a 12-screen cinema, restaurants and cafés, department stores, including M&S and Toys ‘R’ Us, a Hyperpanda hypermarket, Plug-Ins ElectroniX store and an Ikea. With its idyllic setting, you can take a stroll along the waterfront, away from the maddening crowd, and admire the rather expensive-looking boats. Spend some time contemplating what designer delights you would buy from the centre’s shops such as Paris Gallery, Carolina Herrera and Hugo Boss if you had that kind of money. Then get over it, and go have a spend up at Forever 21.
