With its graffiti-emblazoned walls and edgy mood lighting, this large venue in Al Quoz has the feel of an underground New York nightclub. But with 20,000 square feet of exercise space has far more to it than some natty artwork.
Opened in 2013 by two Emirati businessman making their first foray into the fitness world, The Warehouse has continued to live up to the hype that surrounded it when it first welcomed members through its doors. Dubaians have really taken to this gym, as more than 12,000 likes on Facebook would attest, and it’s not hard to see why.
The Warehouse contains dedicated functional and circuit training areas, a large selection of free-weight and plate-loaded equipment, a 30ft customised rig, full-size MMA cage and boxing section as well as cardiovascular equipment integrated with TV/iPod and iPhone connectivity.
Among the classes on offer here are CrossFit Foundations, FitBox, Muay Thai, MMA, TRX and a boot camp, while personal trainers will help you achieve your goals through a flexible schedule that fits in with your daily grind. Along with its range of sessions, The Warehouse also hosts regular competitions such as the Calisthenic Amateur Cup and the WHGym Power Lifting Meet, the latter letting you show off the skills you’ve developed against some of Dubai’s strongest residents.
There are also several special membership offers during the year, as well as a promise there’ll be no hard sell.
